National Landing is the home to Amazon’s HQ2. It comprises three neighborhoods: Crystal City, Pentagon City, and Potomac Yard. Straddling Arlington County and the City of Alexandria, National Landing is a mixed-used urban area with high-rise condo buildings, apartment complexes, and office buildings. The name National Landing is a nod to the nation’s Capitol and Ronald Reagan National Airport, which runs the length of the neighborhood.
National Landing is also home to the DEA headquarters, The Pentagon, and the FBI, making the neighborhood highly monitored. Metro’s Yellow and Blue Lines provide quick access to Downtown DC via the Pentagon, Pentagon City, and Crystal City Metro Stations. A new Potomac Yard Metro Station is coming soon to Alexandria and will provide a connection to Virginia Tech’s Innovation Center. National Landing is also accessible via the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) commuter rail at the Crystal City VRE Station, taking passengers to DC’s Union Station.
